  William R. “Bill” Berryman, 75, died Tuesday, April 24th, 2018 at his residence in Kearney. 
  Memorial services were held Saturday, April 28th, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney.  Rev. Dean Pofahl officiated.  There was no visitation. Memorials are suggested to Ft.   Bill was born October 13th, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri to Virgil and Geraldene (Carroll) Berryman.  His family moved to Cozad in 1945 and he graduated from Cozad High School in 1961. He then graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.  
  After losing his first wife, Nancy Rasely, he met and married Karen Michael. They lived and started their family in Omaha. They moved to Kearney in 1980 and he opened the Dean Witter investment agency in Kearney which later became part of Morgan Stanley from which he retired.
  Bill was an avid fisher and hunter and was committed to conserving Nebraska’s natural resources.  He was active in the Democratic Party and served as a member on the Nebraska Game and Parks Board.  He was a member of the Rotary and Cosmos Clubs.
  Surviving relatives include his wife Karen of Kearney; son, Michael Berryman and wife Gwendolynn and their children Applelynn and Broderick of Blair, NE; daughter Lisa Barnidge and husband Michael and their children Grady and Myles of St. Paul, MN; sisters, Janet Thompson of Santa Rosa, CA and Betty Rowe and husband Terry of Elwood, NE; brothers James Berryman and wife Phyllis of Memphis, TN and Richard Berryman of Seal Beach, CA.  
  In addition to his first wife he is preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Berryman.
